Dappies rewards real-world, everyday actions — what you eat, learn, do to stay active, and do for the environment — with a digital pet that grows alongside you, built on the VeChain blockchain as part of the VeBetterDAO ecosystem. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dappies dApp, website, and related features (the "Service(s)"), and are a binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Efebia S.r.l., with its registered office in Via Medeghino 12, 20141, Milan – Italy ("Efebia," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Services, connecting a wallet, minting, holding, or interacting with any Dappy, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
To use the Services you must connect a compatible VeChain wallet (such as VeWorld, Sync2, or VeChainThor). We do not custody your wallet, private keys, or seed phrase, and cannot recover them for you. You are solely responsible for keeping your wallet secure, and for every transaction it signs. To keep the game fair, each wallet may hold and progress one Dappy of a given kind at a time, subject to the limits described in the app; attempts to circumvent these limits are a violation of these Terms.
You adopt a Dappy by purchasing and hatching an NFT egg using B3TR tokens, at the price and rarity tiers shown in the app at the time of purchase, which may change from time to time. Before you accept your Dappy you may be shown a preview of its species; a replacement fee (as shown in the app) applies if you request a different species. Once you accept a species, it is permanent for that Dappy and cannot be changed.
Each Dappy belongs to a species inspired by an endangered animal, and grows by completing real-world actions in the categories of Food, Education, Ecology, and Mobility, tracked through integrated VeBetterDAO applications ("Third-Party dApps"). Species differ in how much progress in each category is required to level up, and the exact requirements, level thresholds, and reward multipliers are set out in the app and may change over time as we balance the game.
Progress and rewards are claimed through the Services' smart contracts, first at the category level once its requirement is met, and then at the weekly VeBetterDAO allocation round level to receive your B3TR-based rewards. If a Dappy is left inactive for an extended period, it may enter a dormant state that pauses reward claims until it is reactivated by resuming activity.
A Dappy marketplace, in-app challenges, additional egg rarities, and other features described on our website or app are under development. They may be unavailable, delayed, changed, or discontinued without notice, and nothing in these Terms guarantees that any planned feature will ship.

If we reasonably believe you have violated these standards, we may, depending on severity, provide educational feedback, temporarily pause your participation, or suspend or terminate your access to the Services as described in Section 12 (Leaving Dappies).
Each Dappy and related in-game item is a non-fungible token or other digital asset recorded on the blockchain. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and display the artwork and content associated with a Dappy you rightfully own, for personal, non-commercial use. Ownership of the token does not transfer any intellectual property rights in the Dappies brand, characters, artwork, or software beyond this license. Digital assets, including B3TR tokens and NFTs, are volatile, may lose all value, and may become illiquid; we make no representation or warranty regarding their present or future value or utility.
Photos and other content you submit to a Third-Party dApp for category validation are handled by that dApp under its own terms and privacy policy. Information we collect directly through the Services is described in full in our Privacy Policy, including what we collect, why, and your rights over it. As with any blockchain, transaction data recorded on-chain is public and permanent and cannot be deleted, even if you delete your account or off-chain data with us.
Where made available, holders of VOT3 tokens may vote during VeBetterDAO allocation rounds, including to direct funding toward the Dappies reward pool. Governance participation is voluntary, is governed by the VeBetterDAO protocol rather than by us, and we make no guarantee as to the outcome of any vote or allocation round.
The Services rely on and link to third-party services, including wallet providers, Third-Party dApps, and the VeBetterDAO protocol. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, security, or practices of any third-party service, including any category validation, reward calculation, or token distribution it performs. Your use of a third-party service is subject to its own terms and privacy policy, at your own risk.
By using the Services, you acknowledge and accept the following risks, among others:
Nothing on the Services constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and we are not acting as your broker, intermediary, agent, or advisor. Consult your own professional advisors before making any decision involving digital assets.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services, any Third-Party dApp, or the VeChain or VeBetterDAO networks will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Efebia and its officers, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or digital assets, arising out of your use of the Services, including loss caused by your own wallet security, a Third-Party dApp, or the underlying blockchain networks. To the extent any liability is not excluded, our aggregate liability arising out of these Terms shall not exceed one hundred euros (€100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Efebia, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or damage, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.
You may delete your account and disconnect your wallet from the Services at any time through the app. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Because your Dappy and any B3TR tokens live in your own wallet on the blockchain, they remain yours regardless of your account status with us; however, any pending, unclaimed rewards at the time your account is closed may be forfeited, and blockchain records of your past activity remain public and immutable.
For questions, technical issues, or concerns about a category validation or reward, please reach out via the contact details in Section 16. We will make reasonable efforts to review and resolve concerns informally and in good faith before either party pursues formal proceedings under Section 15.
We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted with reasonable advance notice, generally at least 30 days, through the app or our website. Your continued use of the Services after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Rewards you have already earned before a change takes effect will not be reduced retroactively because of that change.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Milan, Italy, except where mandatory consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them without restriction. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Efebia regarding the Services.
